This was posted on a TF2 board I frequent by someone who kills me a lot: it’s a TF2 Stats Parser. Just download it, plug in your tf2_playerstats.dmx file, and see how you’re doing in incredible detail.
Here are my stats to date. I’m somehow underwhelmed by my killatude. I also think the playtime is off — I’m sure I’ve played more than 26 hours as a Sniper. It’s pretty much all I do these days. I was snipering for at least eight hours this weekend alone.

Ooh, total stats. Epic.

Wow, you got a hell lot of kills without shooting once, or at least so it says…
It would actually be cool, if the guys at Valve could implement a worldwide shots per minute live ticker in their stats page.

I just saw this on Joe’s blog.

I need to try this out.
I guess you like the Demoman?

Any chance you got a color palette that doesn’t involve tiny, skinny black numbers against a dark gray background?
Until such time I’ll just assume u suk.

This is pretty nifty. I generally like to use my # of deaths as a baseline for seeing how well I’m doing in the other areas.

Ugh, someone needs to tell that guy that the .NET framework is backwards compatible… he could have just shipped the .NET 2 compiled one and it would work fine in .NET 3.5
In fact, IIRC .NET 3 and .NET 3.5 just are extensions of .NET 2, so his program is probably EXACTLY THE SAME in all three compiles (IE the .NET 3.5 one will probably run fine under .NET 2).

Ooh, I have 99 total dominations as a Spy. Someone’s getting quadruple backstabbed tonight.
I really really wish TF2’s stats focused on your recent performance rather than your all-time records. Hair was long, disco was cool and noobs were noobs when I got my high score, and unless the brain thing from Futurama happens, I’m not likely to ever beat it on the official maps.
I’m much more interested in how I’m doing relative to my recent performance. If I get my most kills in three weeks, I want to know about it.
Also, I think as you settle into your groove with a game, that’s the time that you most need a sense of continual progress. Not when you’re just starting out, and are learning new aspects of the game every few minutes.

From what I understand, Pentadact, they are working on sifting that data out. Now ‘they’ could mean Valve or the guys that wrote the analyzer, I’m not sure who has the bulk of work, just something I heard in emails about the analyzer

Yeah, I pretty much never break my own records these days. Most of my Demoman highlights go back to the beta when Scouts were more careless and engies didn’t know where to build. I was even considering clearing my stats just so I could feel some sense of accomplishment again.

That parser needs more averages. Knowing the maximum and total is nice, but averages are better! Easier to get better on those, too.
