I see TF2 comics, drawn or done with Garry’s Mod, surface from time to time. About 90% of them end with pretty much the same joke: someone is a spy. The spy has fooled the heavy. The spy has tricked the engie. That player, who at the beginning of the comic was a member of one team, it turns out is actually A SPY. HE’S A SPY. A SPY. ON THE OTHER TEAM. LOL.
I’m not saying they’re all bad, and I rather like the one with the heavy at the computer, but come on, we get it already.
I’m happy to see at least this comic taking it further. Years further. I love the artwork, too.

That last one was fantastic, it really conveyed how uncomftorable that party must have been and had mega lolz at the end. The rest ranged from quite funny, the heavy in the chatroom, to plain weird, the female engineer and spy combo.
Thank god 1fort will be better… right?

I must say, I actually quite like the VGCats one (”is actually A SPY”), but mostly as it highlights the awkward social space the Pyro inhabits. Poor Pyro, with a face only a mother could love.

Though it’s easy to see the gist behind it all the Spy stuffs — situational comedy. But it’s a pretty overdone trope by the TF2 community at large. I mean we hate Spies, but can’t help but be in awe at the damage they can do… bastids.

They did add one of the best suggested ideas. An axe that do crits to flamed targets. Not much good against scouts, but now we can outflank a heavy and win.
