  I liked it, but I’d hoped it would totally crack me up and it didn’t. The sketch didn’t have enough time to establish itself - I couldn’t figure out what question he was answering. And his delivery on the “I hurt people” line is too divorced from the build-up ones, so the cadence of the joke doesn’t quite come off.

  I thought the sandwich at the end was good. It pushed the arrogance thing more than the speed thing, which is okay I suppose.

  I did laugh loudly at the scene where he taps the heavy on the head. That was excellent.

  Now that we’ve actually been playing the game for so long, the impact of the action scenes is completely gone.

  It also kind of snaps me out of it whenever I hear one of the sound files from the game that I am so familiar with now.

  Once again it drives home the fact that the characters are all cooler than we can ever hope to be, by pitting them against enemies who went to Stormtrooper academy.

  I think this is one of the good ones. Although it is a bit forced at times, I like Scout’s lines, and the fight with the Heavy.

  I really wonder if there’s going to be a sandwich prop in the game. I know it’s wierd that the sandwich is the biggest thing I take away from that video, but it’d be a nice prop to have in Gmod.

  I thought he looked different, and yeah, it’s a different face with a different smile. When it has that close up of the scout, zooming out, pay attention to his face, and it changes from mid-zoom to the whole picture. Maybe we’ll get a third TF2 thing with all the people, using thier post-”Meet the Class” look.

  Was kind of disappointed by this one. I really liked the last four, but this one didn’t really show the essence of the scout, in my opinion. They showed that he was fast, sure, but it wasn’t as effective as it could’ve been, I don’t think. With the engineer, you really understand that he builds shit. With the Demoman, you understand that he completely revolves around the use of explosives. All of the previous four not only had personality, but they really highlighted the class, and let you know what they were all about.

  The scout was more personality than anything, and if I hadn’t played TF2 already I wouldn’t really get the point of the Scout like I’d be able to from the other ones.

  Bleh.

  It makes you realise that when the scout can make you into that the scout in the video if you utterly own people. I saw so much of my self when I play in that video, I thought it sucked a bit first time, now I realise that the video was perfect.

  Guess i’m not the only one loading all 5 language version from steam? (Not) surprisingly the English version seems to be the only one with a *beep*.

  Probably 4chan, but I prefer to believe this:

  Some guy had an idea for a TF2-themed restaurant, and had drawn a few sketches of the concept. One of the sketches was of an engineer looking sadly at his sandwich (Could’ve been a burger), which had been sapped, while the spy ran off in the background with a chef’s hat and spatula.

  Hey, Chris. This is a bit off-topic, but I figured you’d be someone who’d know this… Where can I get turnaround images of the TF2 characters?

  I want to start drawing a TF2 comic, but I want some boring reference pictures of them standing there so I can draw them to spec. Any ideas?

  @danielle, try going on the audio commentries. They have at least one of each class standing still so you should be able to get some decent screens. Also quite interesting from a design point of view :)

  Danielle, do you have Gmod? If not, get it! Besides being able to spawn all the characters (and maps) from TF2 you can pose them AND give them any expressions you want.

  Back on topic: What character do you think will get the next video? My money is on the Medic with the Spy being runner-up. For some reason I can’t quite fanthom, I feel the Pyro will be the last one.

  @Ledd_Bate, Nah, it’ll be Pyro. They’ve done all the defenses and two of the offenses, so it makes sense. I’d rather see the medic though but Pyro one will be good when it comes out…2009?? :D

  This is odd, but every time I watch this I just think; “Dude, don’t eat that. It was ON THE GROUND. Dude!” Does that make me weird? I think it does.

  …But seriously. The ground at Granary probably isn’t ’so clean you can eat off it’.

  But I like this one. I like Meet the Sniper better, but this is a close second.
