A reader named Slamhound posted a comment recently in another post, reporting that it appeared Valve has tweaked the forever upcoming medic achievements. It looks like some of the more difficult and frankly silly ones have been made a bit easier to get, based on some flickr picktrs.
For instance, instead of your ubered Heavy punching four enemies to death, he now only has to punch two. Instead of your ubered Demoman taking down eight enemy engie buildings, he now only has to take down five.
This is probably a good thing, as a lot of these achievements kind of disrupt normal gameplay, such as Heavy-punching and Scout-ubering, but I hope they don’t change the 10 million heal point one, because I don’t think it should be too easy to get all the new medic gear.
EDIT: As people have already pointed out, it’s right there in the first picture I linked — 10 million healed points has been lowered to 1 million. Ah, well.

Yeah they should keep the 10 million heal imo. (But then again, the ubersaw looks so awesome…)
Unfortunately I haven’t had much gaming time lately, but in a couple weeks I will be playing much TF2s.

Whoop. 10,000,000 is actually 1,000,000 now.
(Think it’s there along the screens, too.)

Yep! It’s 1 million. See first link, third from bottom above Hypocritical Oath.

Whew, half relief.

Ahhhh, I want to play it now too. I’m home early today, as well, but it’s not out yet…

Ah, I would have left the achievements alone, and make them accessible to anyone from an appropraitely upgraded dispenser , so a medic (or any other class) can get the uber saw from a tier 3 dispenser. Would help engineers get some support when trying to build defenses.
Today I was even told to stop playing engineer and pick a “winning class.” :\
So I switched to the other team and started stealing their intel as a lone spy then. :D

So, I counted. I should have somewhere between 27 and 30 of those achivements alreaday. I wonder how many will actually show up right away…

… Two (Intern and Chief of Staff).
That sucks. Almost everything starts at zero.
Also: playing in a game with 7 medics *per team*, all trying to grind for Sawbones (or grinding Group Health in the goddamn spawn room!) is not very fun.

I used to complain that there is to few medics on team
now i complain we have to many medics on team.
My brother is currently playing with 5-8 medics on team
of 14 players.

I think I’ll be avoiding the clustercrap of healers for now. I’ll pursue these achievements when the team requires medics.

I haven’t ever played a single second as a Medic. For reals.
Also for the last couple of months opening TF2 kills my wireless connection for some reason, which is pretty lame with all this new stuff that’s come out.
