Day Eight is finally wrapped up on the Living In Oblivion blog. I’ll try to write up a few new entries this weekend.
Thanks for all the encouragement on this, by the way. Writing, for me, falls in one of two categories. It’s either a lot of fun or completely miserable and frustrating. For the past year it’s mainly been the latter, but I’ve really been enjoying writing the Oblivion blog, and I probably never would have started work on it again without so many people expressing interest and telling me they wanted to read more of it. So, thanks. It’s fun to have fun.

Concerned is what made me buy HL2 (only ever played DoD before). Living in Oblivion has started me playing Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind.
I guess inspiration works both ways.

Another (non-)day in Oblivion, ay? Well it is (like the title) not a particularly friendly place. I want to play more games about using cunning and wit over violence (like me in real life, then).

Is there an echo in here?
“Thanks, by the way, for all the encouragement to continue that blog, because I’m really having run writing up his non-adventures. Writing, for me, only comes in two flavors: fun or unbearably frustrating, and for a long time it’s just been the latter. But I’m having fun writing the Oblivion stuff, and I don’t think I would have gone back and started working on it again without you guys encouraging me too. So, thanks!”
I kid, I kid.

You all realize, of course, this is simply his way to distract you with something shiny instead of making a comic. right?

Please do keep writing it, I check this site religiously for updates to it and although having played it once, reading those made me play Oblivion through again.

It’s time for another round of CF’s Inane Questions About Oblivion:
-How do I know the primary needs mod is working? Is there any indicator on the HUD?
-As I continue to level up, the little messages talk about getting older and being past my prime. Is my game just being melodramatic or is this something that will actually affect my gameplay?

I bet Chris got paid by Bethesda to make this kind of advertising!

citrus:
1. when you start the launcher, click ‘data files’. you can enable mods there
2. just melodrama
