You’ve probably seen these by now, but omfgninja recently posted three TF2 Advanced Spy Training videos to YouTube, highlighting what a sneaky filthy bastard he is, and how you can be too.
There are some good tips that’ll lead you toward being a better, filthier spy, but that’s not why I’m posting them. I’m posting them because the sharp-eyed Tom Francis, who I seem to link to just about every day, spotted what appears to be me getting backstabbed about 5:45 into the third video. I’m the poor innocent pyro who never hurt a fly and who is tragically leapt upon and slashed to death on Dustbowl, Stage One. Great. Just fucking great.

While I can’t quite make out my name watching the videos on my PC, I watched them on my iTouch, and yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s me. Hooray.

Yeah, it could be one of the other Gordon Frohmen running around, but I’m pretty sure it’s me. I know I’ve played with that guy several times, and I seem to remember a match on Dustbowl where a spy was camping our spawn before his team had even capped the first point. Could be wrong, though.

I totally remember that round. The round where the other team won. But it was really close, cuz there were sentries up. Then the other team got like, ubers and stuff. And then there were spies, but at first there were TOO MANY spies, and ppl complained, and then there were just enough. And then you got backstabbed. I TOTALLY remember that one too!

Watching this inspired me to play a few rounds as a spy. I tried to employ the tactics given . . . and failed miserably. This must be why I don’t play much as a spy.

Ditto Bratcher, although I haven’t played in a month or so, so meh. I did pretty well, it’s interesting. I was pleased to see my demoman/soldier skills didn’t rust very much. And I went fucking rambo Engineer on steroids, raped everything with my wrench and sentries on their spawns. Had a hidden tele at their spawn and blew up entrance after using it so it wasn’t a flashing beacon of “HAI KILL ME!”
